Corrupt!Chris and Wesker - Character Designs

Last arts for the evening, and again moar Corrupt!Chris. This time his and Wesker's character designs/outfits.

I always do like giving Wesker something form-fitting and classy. And almost pushing metro-sexual. fufufufuf. I blame the little number he wears in RE4/UC. Mmmm.♥

As for Chris' design: many deliberations were to be had. Firstly, I knew that I wanted to differeciate Corrupt!Chris from the cannon!Chris Redfield, so it was decided and agreed upon that Corrupt!Chris has a scar to help set him apart: you can think of it as an outward manifestation of internal damage.

The second most important thing would be, of course, what he WEARS.

Given that Corrupt!Chris is Wesker's pet, Wesker naturally would be the one to select Chris' wardrobe, and his affinity for dressing from head to toe in black would definitely be reflected in what Chris wears---but he would still allow Chris to wear just a smidge of green, on occasion. Green has always been Chris' colour, and (as ~Evios agreed); allowing Chris to wear green would serve as a reminder that it really is CHRIS underneath it all. Terribly terribly broken, but Chris none the less.

Also, whenever Wesker gets tired of it, he can just snap his fingers and Chris would be rid of the article of clothing just like that. Given all the shit that he goes through... the one thing Corrupt!Chris fears more than anything is no longer being useful to his master.

Lastly, I considered very heavily how it is that Corrupt!Chris fights. While Chris has ALWAYS been regarded as a pro marksmen (I've gotten SO many more headshots with him than I ever have with Jill), Chris is also very skilled at CQC. Keeping up with Wesker means he'd have to step up his game, and so a Katana was thrown into the mix. This is mostly just my strange fangirlish desire to watch Chris decapitate zombies with friggin' katana, because it would be totally badass, but it does also have some roots in the fact that in Deadly Silence Chris' alternate costume is a 'ninja' outfit - [link] (yes, I am STILL on that.)

In short, I am very proud of their character designs. I hope you guys like them too. C:
